以传播中华文化、欢庆龙年春节为主旨的“中国之夜”已于2月3日晚成功举办。当晚，近200名中外学生学者参加了这一活动。中国学生学者联谊会与浙江警察学院CJ交换生团队联手为来宾筹备了中国美食——牛肉土豆、鸡蛋西红柿、西芹鸡丁、素炒包菜、米饭以及水果丁；独唱、乐器、中国传统春节介绍吸引了在场来宾的极大兴趣；发红包、双节棍表演、教“老外”学书法、中国特色文化物品展示也受到大家的一致好评；夹豆子、跳竹竿、踩气球更使会场的气氛达到了高潮……“你好”、“谢谢”不绝于耳；欢声笑语充满各个角落。时至夜半，很多“老外”仍流连忘返，一些美国家庭甚至在Huntsville住下，第二天又来拜访中国学生群体。
不少台湾学生也来到现场，不仅一起品尝美食，欢度节日，而且主动充当志愿者，参与现场工作。
此次活动得到了中国驻休斯敦总领馆的大力支持，同时也得到了SHSU外语系的热情帮助。
More than 200 students from different countries attended Chinese Night in honor of Chinese New Year 2012（Dragon Year）on ISFM, on Feb 3, 2012, 6:30 - 11:00pm. Planned by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association, the event was underwritten by the Consulate General of People’s Republic of China, the SHSU Foreign Language Department and the Criminal Justice exchange students group (09 IDC Cohort, China).
Participants enjoyed delicious Chinese-style food and performances of Chinese music, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese Kung Fu and playing Chinese-style games.
